Plain... 45 APC great weapon - I have 3 of them... to heavy for everyday conceal carry (better close range options)and can be unweildy in a home invasion panic situation... but does packs needed power to incapacitate invaders up close... for home might want to look at S&W Governor... it is a 5 shot revolver (easy to use) and you can load in 45 APC/45 LC and .410 shotshells in any combination... 410's in first 2- 3 chambers should stop inturder without doing lots of collateral damage... last shots (.45 Hydro Shocks)are the cappers if needed.
