It Is Now Post Time
We're Off....Yep, Thanksgiving, and what do we have to be thankful for...?? I am sure if you dig deep enough you will find something...Me I am just Thankful that I am still here, enough said...Do you know they slaughtered 45 million turkeys this week...that is a lot of Turkeys..I heard the last one said, Hey what about Dick and Harry???? chit knee slapper..call 911...Yeah this was the day the 53 surviving Pilgrims out of the original 104 celebrated surviving the first winter...The Indians off the Massachusetts coast heard the gunfire and sent out a war party to slay the intruders,but when they got there they saw it was just a party, so they joined in, they shoulda shot up the joint...the year was 1621...only a few decades later the Indians or Native Americans were being bought out, thrown out or killed for their land...I will save the rest for another day.
Little known fact...The Pilgrims never saw a pumpkin before and thought it was a fruit of the devil...When one Indian, Chief Qualanaga, split it open with his hatchet, took the seeds and passed them around...then he placed the pulp in a clay bowl and a pilgrim spread a bunch of wheat curd on top....when the chief put it on the fire...the smell was so good the Pilgrims knew it was not from the devil and as they all partook of this pumpkin delicacy the head Pilgrim said very TastyKake, yep the very first TastyKake was born...and it thrives today even as Twinkies and other assorted delicacies bite the dust...Well I know you all will be biting more than dust today,, so wherever you are, and whatever you are doing, have a GREAT THANKSGIVING.......We here at PLAIN AND SIMPLE are THANKFUL TO ANYONE THAT READS THIS SHIT..
