Hey Finn, great comment great picture. Of course no attempt to win a race in the Breeders Cup would be complete without At least one heartbreak..I had the biggest longshot winner in the cup and my other horses ran 3rd 4th and 5th, We calculated, yeah right, like we could calculate anything, that my superfecta (that I didn't have, so it wasn't mine} woulda paid. 400,000. No problems. Just move on, and enjoy what is left of this life, as they had to talk me down off of the roof a Caesars at 4AM. Phil The Thrill, he of the never drinks Quakers, decides around midnight that he is going to get a bloody Mary.. Hell, why not, just lost a fortune and we are staying at casino, and we are giving Poker a ride, so he orders 4 bloody Mary's, and I remember why he doesn't drink.. He chugged those 4in about a nano second, started talking in tongues and I in all my infinite sobriety had too lead him to bed..We get breakfast in the room, and then hit the rack. About 3AM., I thought somebody really did jump off of the building, as the whole room rumbled and I heard a huge crash. I say, what the fuck was that? He pops up on the other side of the room all befuddled looking and says. I just fell out of bed..I said, you gotta be fuckin kiddin me, what are you nine years old?? You OK?? Do I look like I am Ok?? You just answered my question. You oughta sleep on the floor these beds are awfully high..Walkin out this morning, he got a nice lump on his rather round noggin and a gash in his elbow, he was mumblin too himself again, about if you fall out of bed, you can't be in bed..Phew!! the shit I put up with around here.
Well, I'm glad to see that we gained an hour of sleep last night but I had thought we were going to loose a whole day at P & S. Way to go J. McC. Hope Phil the Thrill is feeling better!
