Greetings from Crabcake Corners! The cuzes and two of the wonderful Italian aunts are preparing for a wonderful home-made Italian meal. Will catch up on past blogs when I return. Not much of a golfer or know too much about the game but I hear it's nice going to the beach if you have a good sand wedge.

I remember as a kid playing Tom Gola's mini golf near Bells Mills Road... and then that chip and putt course that used to be up on Ridge Pike near Conshee, near a roller rink(?).
I caddied two summers at the old Presedential golf course (City Avenue) and also at Bala Cynwyd Country Club as a kid.
Played a bit of golf early in business career (part of sales vitae)as I had to make appearances at fund raisers, corporate tournaments and sales meetings, etc. I just played "at" it... I never played it with any seriousness as a sport. I was never into the relaxation stuff either... hit the ball and drive on - by the way I was never a walker.

Hey Pat Tom Gola's was my second lock up in 7th grade, me and Floyd and a few other hoodlums were running out and filling our buckets back up after we hit the balls. The manager saw us and came over and we took off with the clubs and any balls we could stuff in our pockets, and once again wound up in the 5th district..remember one Joey Russella, he made the trip with us that time.. God Bless Pizza...(remembe Joeys nickname.)
