Went down Florida way too see my youngest son Joey a few years back..A friend and business associate of mine runs a business in Melbourne Fla. We were in Orlando.. Joey's roomate, was graduating and looking for a job.. Sooooooo, Me and Joey, Phil The Thrill, and Taylor (roomate) drive from Orlando to meet my friend Dave..We start eating and drinking around noon, (Phil The Thrill, don't drink), and we started playing A to Z and other trivial type games.. Taylor gets the job, we go thru three shifts of waitresses and it is 11PM, time too head back to Orlando..Phil The Thrill is driving, I am in the back seat with a passed out Taylor, and Phil and Joey are having what they thought was a profound conversation.. I am half listening and half looking out the windows at nothing but swamp..I sit up look at the fuel gauge and say, Hey Phil you know where you are?? What's the difference, wherever you go there you are.. You can never get lost.. With this Joey looks at him (I am sure through bleary eyes) and says, WOW!! that is really profound, is that where you got the name PHIL.. does the mean PHILOSOPHER.. Right about now we are ready too run out of gas in the fucking everglades, and I am listening too this conversation thinking, you know what they are right I am going too sleep..A-Z anything Floriday...

Yep, little known fact, Plain has a Cay named after him and it aint Cayte. It is just Cay. He doesn't let everybody know it but back in his hey day, he was quite a swashbuckler, yep, right along the lines of Errol Flynne himself, who Plain was said to have drank with at one time.. I don't believe that one because I think the Errol of Scotch was dead.., but their are some stories about Plains deeds on the Spanish Main and other places where swashbucklers were known to inhabit..Anyway, if we ever see him again, lets try and find out what he did, in his old swashbuckling days.
