Mornin, Mere fell asleep watchin the Phils. I should have. I really don't mean that, it is kind of crazy, you think they are going too win every game. Amazing compared too the teams I grew up with. This team is a great team too watch, and very easy too root for..They will get it on tonight. Yo!! How about Monday night football now doubleheaders. You might think that game was exciting, of course for a guy like me, I have too be watching, not a whole lot too do out here in the Ville after the lights go out...We were talking about dates of infamy, and I thought about feel good dates, dates we remember and celebrate for the joy and happiness that those particular days brought to mankind..Probably a pretty good way too start the day here at the Ville. Mere is still asleep, his eyeballs bulge out even when he is sleeping, he makes these small chirping sounds, kinda in between a cricket, and a sparrow. Pretty annoying, but not as bad as Blat and Slat snoring..They sound like locomotives going up grade.. OK little thinking needed on some of these, not much on others..
I know growing up Christian, that the date of Dec. 25th, is celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ. I also, know that it is Christmas Day.. Do I need too say more? We all know the Santa Claus story by now..
July 4th, every year we celebrate the Birth Of The United States Of America. Very festive event, from the big cities to the small towns, parades, fire works, feel good kinda day..
Individual Birthdays, here I am talking about family and friends gathering too celebrate the Birthdays of their loved ones. I think Happy Birthday may be the all time winner in songs sung..Little known fact, I the Simpleton wrote the lyrics too Happy Birthday, yep, and you know what? Not one residual, not one..Moving on real quick..
I would have too say the last Thursday in November is a great Holiday, and the date may vary, but on this day Family and Friends, gather to give Thanks for what they have in this life, mainly each other and some great turkey and mashed potatoes, and apple sauce and gravy and what's that red stuff? Oh yeah, cranberry sauce, and fruit and cakes and nuts. That's right Sammy we eat nuts too.. No Sam we don't lick our nuts..PHEW!! why do these critters have too watch when I do a post.
One more for the road, not too digress, but I must..That saying sure has lost it's luster..No more one for the roads..
I am not sure about this date, but it was a monumental day in the History of Our World. The day the Berlin Wall came down.. That wall was an insult to the freedom of man..Constructed by the Soviet Union to keep their so called citizens from leaving. We sometimes do forget the freedoms we do have being an American, (although I always feel their is room for more freedom), people could not leave the Soviet Union, and people on the other side of the wall could not enter..That is pretty fucked up in this day and age. It was a great day, that wall tumbled, and a greater day when the Soviet Union split, and all the Countries that were incorporated into that unholy Union were given their freedom..Time will only tell how that turns out, but right now, it looks like a good thing..
I can't stop here without breaking some balls. We all celebrate April 15th as tax day..OW!!! get outta the way MERE!! they are throwing sticks and stones.. They don't like that last date Simple!! No, they don't but I didn't know there would be a rebellion.. OK citizens and visitors I was only kidding on that one..CHEESH!!!
Bring some more, dates that we enjoy celebrating and I will be back later..

3:19 PM.....................
A "Date which will live in Infamy"
I think I know what that was Jim..Are you referring to the date that Plain and Simple invaded the Internet? If so good one..I didn't go back and look, but I know it was right about that time..,and yes that day will live in infamy..Ez Ed said it all that night, and we have taken care of it ever since. I know there is still a lot of things that can be done to improve the Ville. I hope I get the time to do that..Pictures, wow could you see that..I wonder if anyone has a picture of the real Burgerville.. I am sure someone must have one somewhere..I gotta find out how to post pictures, then we will be in another time zone..LOL!!
Pictures would put the Ville over the top. That would be wild. There was a sight on that Roxborough thing, you know you are from Rox if........I bet we could get a pic off of that but I know I tried to copy and paste pictures on my comments and it wouldn't let me. I suppose there must be a way. Good luck, I'll ask around to see// Yes Feb 19th is the embryonic day this little puppy was born.
Well Simple and J.McC you kind of covered all the good times so I will add just one more, every day as long as you get out of bed and plant your feet on the ground is a good day. Some may be better than others but there are many that cannot do this so my friends let's just take this "one day" at a time and roll with it.
Two more good days - In 1980 & 2008 when the Phillies won the World Series. Let's do it again in 2011!
