Today is the 1st of December in the Year Of Our Lord 2011
Simple is among the missing again, some where In North America with Phil The Thrill From Cherry Hill.I'm sure their going up and coming down. Or they might be going over then coming back. But anyway I wanna talk about the greatest generation us!!!!!!! Our Mothers smoked and drank when they were Pregnant. We ate sweets and anything we could get our hands on. Usually the first one up was best dressed. We walked to school played outside all day and no one knew where we were.We rode in cars that didn't have seat belts, in the back of pick up trucks, and were lucky if either had Brakes. We didnt have computers , Play station, nintendos, i pads, cell Phones. We were spanked hit with switches, Paddles , wooden spoons cat a nine tails and the only time out there ever was when you Parents got tired beating on you.BAILED OUT are you kidding me if you got locked up you wanted to stay locked up to be safe.We played football on concrete streets and even worse up Kendrick we broke bones , teeth ribs, and there was no suing, we learned to swim in the Schuylkill River our diving Board was the Black Bridge, today it's all child abuse. You wanna know why kids are so fat/ they dont leave the house, they get no exercise, it's not Mc Donalds tell them to get off their ass and get outside and go play.Their Math skills sucks, they can't spell for shit( Looks around the Room, with my eye brow up) Dont say a friggin word Simple cause I aint getting Dragon .Any way you get the drift, I could go on and on but right now I have to go Jogging.I'll be back

Very well put.........and so true.........I just got back from sky diving, had to walk five miles dragging my chute because the wind blew me off course......Kids today wouldn't do that......They would just tweet someone on their super duper phones and have them picked up. It's the little things.......LOL.......OK here you go transitioning into Trivia..What was the Janitors name at St. John's, and what was the Janitors name at St. Josephats....
I am going with John at St. Johns, and Johnastat at St. Joes. Now Jimmy don't yell at me, John maybe was the sacristan..In fact I know he was.
Once again Plain, great post. Yes I am on the road and will be the rest of the day..I would like to add one thing, to our growing up days. Thumbs Up, yep get that thumb up and you got a swig of somebody's soda or a bite of their candy bar and nobody died..Whatever Dragon is, if it helps with your spelling. PULEEEEZE, don't get it Plain. I love getting up at 2 AM and trying to decipher what the fuck you are talking about..LOL!!
Back on the road, with this escapee from a nut house.. Just passed a town named Morrisville. In the center of town, there was a big picture of a guy with a beard and a cross tie and black suit on circa early 1800's, and if you looked real close and tried to imagine this person without a beard. He looked a lot like Plain.. Me and Phil looked at each other, and I said who does that look like, and he looked and looked and said, it looks like somebody. I said I already know it looks like somebody. Does he look familiar too you. He looks, and says, he does look familiar, but I don't know who he looks like. He LOOKS LIKE TERRY!! Terry who?? My head is now down and I am bent over at the waist holding my head..Terry, Terry, Morris man. He looks at the picture again, and says he looks familiar, kinda like Terry..I just stared in disbelief.. Did you hear me just say that. He says if I didn't hear ya, I never would have thought he looked like Terry, but he does look familiar...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH J.McC, you got me. I cannot remember either janitor's name. But, when you or someone else tells me I'll say oh yeah. Like you, I agree totally with Plain. Kids get tired of hearing about the good old days but unfortunately they will not have any good old days to remember, like us. If you ask a kid today if they remember when we didn't have cell phones, they look at us like we are crazy. They don't say when was that "back in the Dark Ages" because they don't know what the "Dark Ages" are. I feel sorry for them as they will never feel the joy we felt as younguns' knowing the sheer happiness of just playing outside in the neighborhoods or schoolyards. How did we ever survive with our moms smoking, no seat belts, ate all kind of foods, drank soda, beer, had rotary phones with party lines etc.? Got better if were sick, with homemade remedies. Lived without air conditioning although I couldn't do that now. Yep, when we say we remember the good ole days, we really know what we are talking about. Remember when black Friday was just the day after Thanksgiving and people stayed home with their families and enjoyed the long holiday weekend. Remember when Santa came to town on Thanksgiving. Now he is in the malls that are decorated in Sept. while the Halloween decorations are still there long before the day after Thanksgiving. On that note, there are but twenty-four days left for Christmas shopping. Yippee!
Lets see Saint Johns, Casper Bratta was for awhile who Is now the Sexton. Before Him I rember a Mr. Cahill tall guy grey Hair.
Saint Joe's Hmmmmmmmm Stosh
And yeah Simple we all took swigs or each others soda we drank out of water hoses, not Bottled water, we ate tar off the street as Bubble gum. We smoked cigarettes when we were six. Christ they sold us 2 for a nickel and even ask if you needed matches. Today they have saftey caps on everything you need to be a friggin safe cracker to get into some of these bottles and drinks, we ate worms and mud Pies, and got BB Guns for are 10th Birthday. Everyone in Little League didnt make the team, we learned to deal with Shit. Hell I love living on the edge, I think I'll go run with Scissors.
And Jim there was another lil guy named Mr McNamara at Saint Johns. And it's a lil known fact he Played in a Band. Nods and this is where Mc Namaras Band came from right there in Manayunk. Nods and walks away.
Good job .......I think the sextant was John MacNamara, at St Joes it was Stosh MacNamarski. Isn't Morrisville one of the High End sections of Jersey, or is it Shamong? Walking to school, that sucked. Walking home sucked even more......Thumbing it to Green Valley to caddie and getting picked up by perves and never reporting it.......LOL Who cared back then......Never got abused back then. I never did anyway. Hell we thumbed it everywhere. Now I wouldn't pick anybody up unless she was naked......and cold, and blonde and no luggage and a smoke hanging out of her mouth, in the snow on a dark road to the Pines..........
What a Wonderful World............
Must be having a senior moment - did not recognize the janitor's names.
TAPS - Day is done, gone the sun, from the hills, from the lakes, from the sky, all is well, safely rest, God is nigh!
Have a good night and a better tomorrow.
