We're Off... Negativity, Negativity, Negativity...I woke up Monday morning to, did I say Negativity...The Phils lose a day/nite double header too the Rays.., the morons are calling for Cholly's head, telling everyone how bad a job Amaro has done...and the Phils are toast...maybe one out of three ain't bad..and I still haven't given them up for toast...
One more fuckin time..
Their supposedly dominating starting rotation:
1. Halladay..... Hey people he is on the DL
2. Lee, I have no explanaion on this mystery.
3. Hammels...probably the best young lefthander in the league, deserves a better fate, and they should
sign him asap.
4. Worley..DL is he all the way back yet??
5. Blanton..Is what he is 500 at the best...don't get him either..
6. Kendrick...head case..trade him...
All of a sudden that doesn't look so fominable too me, so what does it look like to those major league hitters..baseball is played a lot in between those things we call ears..
Bullpen: give it a break man, they don't have one.
Herndron, Stutes, Contreras, all DL, all helped win 102 games last year,,,, Bastardo (another head case), Qualls: throws up my hands...Papplebon, I don't think he has blown a save..
Lineup... 1...Jimmy....I am sure I don't, have too say anything about him, if you don't know what he is by now you shouldn't be reading this.
2 Pierre, playing good baseball. Way more than they expected.
3 Pence...What is wrong?? Somebody tell me, because this kid is one good ballplayer, something ain't right.
3A. Utley, what is he going to do?? come back and be the second coming of Mickey Mantle, ain't happening..just come back and be some semblance of Chase Utley...I hate too say it, because he was one of my favorites to watch play the game.., but that condition he has doesn't go away..I think he may have something left then again I think he may not..In any case he is not going to miracuosly propel the Phillies into the playoff, not this year not ever..I think if Utley has anything left, it would be as DH somewhere in the Amercan League..Why all of a sudden did his knees act up in Spring Training, when you have a whole off season to rehabilitate..The last guy I would disrespect as far a ball players go, would be Chase Utley, he was a large part of the rejuvination and joy the Phillies gave a town in dire need of such scenerios...,but I think his time is limited....
4. Who knows..Ty Wittington, yeah ok, about once a week, not everyday.
4A Jim Thome, yeah if they were in the American League..
4B Ryan Howard, how about this forget him for this year.
4C Carlos Ruiz, best player on the team..Plain and Simple.
5. Shane Victorino.. another all out hustler, one of the greatest nicknames of all time..The Flyin Haiwain!! can't explain it..somebody help, this is also his contract year..
6. Placido, probably one of the most fundementaly sound baseball players to ever have played..His body has betrayed him and he still is capable of hitting 300.. hope he lasts the year..
7. I don't know, John Mayberry, he of the could be, maybe, looks like the real deal, stinks, great swing, didn't catch up to that ball, long home run, swinging at bad pitches, not hitting in the clutch..A not so young enigma..if he performs to his potential, he can become a very good everyday player, but he is not that as we speak.
8. Who else...Fotenot...Lance Nix, nice spot ball player DL.....Martinez.. a Valdez type player that can't pitch...Schnieder, good relief catcher, just got hurt..

Hey Sheople stuff it man, Charlie Manuel, you all loved him when they won five division titles in a row, he has a roster full of DL'D ball players, his bullpen is decimated, and the guys that are playing are not, for whatever reason playing the way we are used to seeing them play..Leave the guy alone, he is trying his best, and it ain't his fault..If he had his guys and one or two dependable bullpen guys, they would be right there...Philly fans really do make me sick,. Let me be more specific, the Philly fans that jumped on when the Phils started making some noise six years ago, well as I can see by various emails and blogs you are jumping off the proverbial band wagon.Get the fuck off... See Ya !! You shoulda seen this team when I grew up... as I said earlier they have been on a decline since...DRUM ROLL EASY..................................................................................................... READY!! You are going to love this HERE WE GO!!...In fact ever since that day in Colorado when Billmyer got caught stealing signs this team has been on a slide..go ahead and laugh at me, I can take it, but then when you are done laughing check out the stats before and after that day...
OK, worked on the Ville with Easy Ed, yesterday his real nickname is Dwierdo, I christened him Dwierdo years ago...he lives up to the name...another former Marine, and one brilliant guy..Of course I had too show him how to plug the computer in...Seriously if it wasn't for my friend Dwierdo, I would still be using a type writer..Thanks for yesterday Easy..

You summed it up pretty good Simple one. Injuries have plagued us and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Will the return of Chase mean we will be chasing first place, sorry, but no. I love the guy; probably my most favorite Philly of all time and I have been around for a while! I told you when we were at Clearwater this year that the excitement of previous years was missing from this team. I could sense then that they would not be the team we all knew and loved. However, we must take into consideration how frustrated they must be. Yesterday Hamels pitched a superb game went out after the 7th with a two run lead. Bastardo comes in and with three pitches loses the game. Now just thinking logically if you were Hamels would you not want to wring Bastardo's neck. I would!! That's where the frustration comes in, they can't keep acting like well that's the game and things like that happen. They will fall apart as a team and their demise will be swift. I love the Phillies, always have, always will. I just hope the players that they have start clicking and make good things happen. I don't think we will see the playoffs this year but I just hope they have a winning season. If they don't sign Hamels and Victorino it will be a disaster. If you are not a true Phillies fan then butt out. I don't want to hear you. You were right Simple when they are winning they are great; when they are losing it's let's see who we can blame. Go home boobirds; stay away; if you can't support them when they are down then SEE YA! GO PHILLIES, your true fans will be there!!
My take on the Phils hmmmmmmm their way better than when I was a Kid! Shrugs and walks away.
